According to a survey by Rakuten Insight on online travel agencies (OTAs) in Singapore conducted in June 2023, 26 percent of the respondents who did not use OTAs stated that they preferred to use the services of traditional (offline) travel agencies instead, or found a better price on the official website of the service provider. By comparison, 17 percent of the respondents stated that they do not trust online travel agencies to give a fair price or the cheapest price, as a reason for not using OTAs.
