Also known as Spring Festival or the Lunar New Year, the Chinese New Year is a festival whose colorful celebrations involve parades as well as displays of lanterns and fireworks. It is based on the traditional Chinese calendar and has no set date, but generally takes place in the first eight weeks of the year - according to the Gregorian calendar.
Interest in Asian food seems to be increasing yearly during that period among French people. Indeed, the turnover of Asian food products rose by 5.3 percent between 2018 and 2019, going from 98.4 million euros to 103.6 million euros.
