According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight on online travel agencies (OTA) usage in June 2023, 53 percent of Malaysians surveyed booked travel services such as sightseeing tours, admission tickets, tour guides, restaurant bookings and more on online travel agencies several months before their trip. By comparison, six percent of the respondents made the booking through OTAs immediately before they needed the services.
