In Brazil, men across most age groups recorded a higher cancer death incidence than women in 2020. In the case of cancer patients aged between 30 and 49 years, however, the number of deaths per 100,000 inhabitants among women was higher than among men. For both genders, the cancer death incidence increased with age, reaching nearly 827 deaths per 100,000 people among women aged 80 or older and over 1.4 thousand men in the same age group that year.
