The Korea Gas Corporation is able to receive and store 135.7 million metric tons of liquefied natural gas every year, more than any other company in the world as of September 2024. Japan's Chubu Electric Power company ranked second, with an operational import capacity of 48.2 million metric tons per year. South Korea and Japan are among the world's largest LNG importing countries.
