According to a survey on social media influencers conducted by Rakuten Insight in May 2023, approximately 81 percent of female and 74 percent of male respondents in Malaysia stated that they followed at least one influencer on social media. The same survey found that the majority of respondents had purchased an item or product endorsed by an influencer.
