73.8 percent of job vacancies in Malaysia in 2019 were low-skilled jobs. Job creation has remained concentrated in low- and semi-skilled jobs for almost a decade. The competition for those looking to secure skilled jobs remained fierce and on the other hand, there were significantly less job seekers than vacancies in the low-skilled occupation category.
