Share of local suppliers in the Carrefour group's food sales in France 2017-2020
In 2020, consuming products from France seemed to be an important social issue for great part of French people, who considered that consuming local or French products was important in order to be able to help French producers which have been affected by the economic crisis. However, looking at the share of local suppliers in the sales of the Carrefour Group, it appears that they were more numerous in 2017 (74 percent), than in 2020, when they represented a little more than 70 percent of the group's food product sales.
