In 2020, cervixuteri cancer was the human papilloma virus (HPV)-associated cancer with the highest incidence rate in Latin America and the Caribbean. That year, there were nearly 18 new cases of this type per 100,000 inhabitants in the region. Meanwhile, penis cancer showed an incidence rate of 1.6 cases per 100,000 Latin American and Caribbean inhabitants.
