Share of consumers that purchased beverages due to COVID-19 in the U.S. in 2020
In 2020, most beverage types saw a decrease in their purchase at convenience stores. Bottled water in a multipack saw no change before and during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. In both cases, 38 percent of consumers reported to have bought them at convenience stores. Dispensed drinks saw the largest decrease in purchase during the pandemic.
