As surveyed by Infocus Mekong in Vietnam, the spending intention among consumers decreased significantly to negative in many categories in July 2020, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. As of January 2021, some recovery was observed among most categories. Transportation, personal equipment, and household utilities had the highest spending intention among respondents in the most recent period.
