In 2020, only 40 percent of manufacturers taking part in a survey wanted to digitalize their after-sales services to attract new customers online. The vast majority of respondents (77 percent) considered higher customer satisfaction to be their objective. Making the installed base of consumers more profitable was the second-most important factor, mentioned by 72 percent of manufacturers worldwide.
