As of August 2020, around 41 percent of the negative mentions of small and medium-sized businesses' WhatsApp accounts on their respective Facebook pages, Instagram, Twitter, and Reclame Aqui profiles addressed their slow customer service. More than one out of five (22 percent) of the negative feedbacks complained about the inconsistency in automatic replies these enterprises had sent through the instant messaging mobile app.
