FCC, a Spanish construction company, reported an overall increase in its total backlog between 2010 and 2023, although with some fluctuations. While the lowest value was observed in 2018 at almost 29 billion euros, it reached its peak in 2023, amounting to almost 42 billion euros. A backlog of orders represents the friction between new orders and completed shipments. When the figures are too low, it indicates that a company is receiving few orders, and when they are too high, that could suggest that the enterprise is unable to quickly fulfill its existing obligations.
