SVOD penetration rate in U.S. homes 2014-2022
In 2022, the penetration rate of subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) was 83 percent in the United States. The share of SVOD users in U.S. homes has increased by over 30 percent since 2014. Having multiple video-on-demand subscriptions was less popular, but has been increasing as well: nearly two in three U.S. people subscribed to two or more video streaming services in 2022, up from 16 percent in 2014.
