Share of French people consuming private label organic products 2020, by region
A private label is a commercial brand for a product whose characteristics have been defined by the company or group of companies that retail the product and that owns the brand under which it is sold. As the organic sector is facing an increasing demand from French consumers, retailers have been developing their organic private labels. It seems to be to their advantage, since, from a consumption perspective, it appears that in 2020, more than 78 percent of people living in the Paris region consumed this type of products. In fact, it was the region where the most people consumed these products.
