Public opinion on legal online sports betting in their state in the U.S. 2020, by age

The federal ban on sports betting was lifted by the Supreme Court of the United States in May 2018. Since that judgment, many states have legalized sports betting. However, just because a state has legalized sports betting, does not mean they have legalized online sports betting. During a survey, 41 percent of respondents in the U.S. stated that they did not believe that online sports betting should be legal in their state. Meanwhile, 59 percent said they did not think this should be the case.
