During the period surveyed, 57 percent of respondents in Singapore were of the opinion that the government should implement stricter measurements for Lunar New Year this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since December 28, 2020, Singapore has moved into Phase 3 of the "circuit breaker" measures implemented to curb the pandemic. This phase allowed for social gatherings and household visits of up to eight people.
