The companies which were registered at the Romanian National Trade Register and submitted their balance sheets by July 5, 2021, recorded net losses of 38.5 billion Romanian lei. However, the total net profit peaked at 149.1 billion Romanian lei.

* The data includes all legal entities that submitted their balance sheets to the Trade Register, including insurance and reinsurance companies. For the banking companies, the interest income indicator was assimilated to the turnover. For the insurance brokers, the income indicator from the brokerage activity was assimilated to the turnover.
The data for 2020 includes a number of 769,000 companies which submitted their balance sheet by July 5, 2021. The final balance may be influenced by companies that have not yet submitted their financial statements.
