In 2022, Morocco was the leading country in terms of food security in North Africa, with 63 points in the global food security index. The country was ranked 57th out of 113 world nations. Tunisia followed at 60.3 index points, while Algeria and Egypt presented the highest levels of food insecurity in the region.
