In 2019, according to a recent publication released by INSEE (National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies), 5.95 million of the French population between the ages of 15 and 64 years old had a disability. It appears, when comparing by gender, that this figure was higher for French women than for men. In fact, the population of people with disabilities included 2.75 million men, compared to 3.2 million women.
