The median bounty value of a critical bug bounty was more than double the value of a bug of high severity, and more than six times larger than a bounty value for a bug of medium severity according to the bug bounty and vulnerability disclosure programs on HackerOne's platform. A bug bounty program, also called a vulnerability reward program (VRP), is an initiative that rewards the discovery and reporting of software bugs.
