Gender gap index in Tunisia 2022, by sector
In 2022, Tunisia had an overall gender gap index score of 0.64 points, ranking 120 out of 146 countries worldwide. Gender disparity in the country was particularly wide in terms of political empowerment, being women’s participation in politics extremely limited. On the other hand, Tunisia was very near to attain gender equality in the education and health sectors.
