Between 2015 and the third quarter of 2020, shopping centers in Mexico increased almost 4.2 million square meters of gross leasable area (GLA) reaching nearly 25 million square meters in 2020. This signifies a growth of approximately 21 percent in comparison to 2015, where the GLA of malls stood at 20.1 million square meters. In that same year, this Latin American country had over 1,000 power centers throughout its territory.
