The majority of Africa's natural gas imports in 2023 were to Egypt. The country imported over 6.9 billion standard cubic meters of the item. South Africa was the second largest importer, with some four billion standard cubic meters. Overall, the volume of natural gas imports into Africa has increased in the last years.
