Algeria led in the export of petroleum products in Africa as of 2023. The country exported around 515,000 barrels of petroleum products per day. Libya followed, with an export level of nearly 91,000 barrels daily. Overall, Africa exported nearly 822,000 barrels of petroleum products per day in 2022. In contrast, the export of crude oil from the continent amounted to approximately 4.8 million barrels per day.
