In the third quarter of 2023, France and Italy registered the highest prime yield of high streets, out of the countries displayed, with four percent. Spain followed closely behind to make up the top three, leaving Germany and the United Kingdom trailing behind.
Prime yields of high street retail in selected European countries in 3rd quarter 2023
The source defines high streets as " where ‘core’ retail activity resides. In this definition, ’High street’ includes prime, as well as secondary retail locations. It includes street-level stores and mixed-use buildings, but excludes stores located in shopping centres."
Prime yield refers to the yield for a property of the highest quality specification in a prime location within the area.
