French parents' opinion on what children do autonomously online in 2020, by age
Due to sanitary measures greatly influencing leisure activities of children in France in 2020, the source wanted to assess the rate to which they carried out various Internet activities on their own, according to their parents. Thus, the 45 percent of parents of children aged 8 to 9 years reported that they used the Internet on their own, which was about half of those aged 15 to 17. However, when the children were asked the same question, the reports were generally higher for all categories, especially for playing online video games.
