Dwelling houses percentage by tenure type in Spain 2016-2020
A total of 17.3 percent Spanish households rented their dwelling home in 2020. Although the tenants' share increased between 2016 and 2019, owning a house was the preferred option over renting throughout the whole analyzed period. On another side, roughly half of the Spanish population owned their dwelling house with no mortgage or loan to pay in 2020.
