In a survey conducted in May 2020, nearly nine out of ten respondents in Mexico expected the national government to make environmental issues a priority while planning the post COVID-19 recovery. However, one third of the Mexicans surveyed said that environmental protection was a low priority topic amidst the coronavirus pandemic.
