The social media activity and necessity of Internet has seen a rise during the COVID-19 induced lockdown in France, in 2020. With classes taking place online and a reduced physical contact, video calls and communication through social media are crucial for young people aged 18 to 30. However, in a worst case scenario, the source had asked these people, which site or app they would prefer to use, if they could only use one. The majority of respondents (48 percent), said they would rather use video streaming platforms.
