In 2020, Instagram was the most popular social media platform for online school promotion in Russia, as per 36 percent of the survey respondents. Facebook and VK (Vkontakte) followed, used by 19 percent and 15 percent of organizations, respectively. By comparison, YouTube, the social media platform with the highest penetration rate in Russia, was named by four percent of respondents.
