Total number of premiums for life insurances written in India FY 2016-2021

In financial year 2021, the value of gross premiums in life insurance in India reached 80 billion U.S. dollars. After a steady increase in value from financial year 2016 to 2018 there was a decrease in 2019 down to just over 70 billion U.S. dollars compared to almost 95 billion U.S. dollars in financial year 2018.
