In November 2020, a survey carried out in Europe found that 48 percent of Danish respondents had experienced their family relationships end or become strained because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, while in contrast only two percent of respondents said they have regained contact with family members as a result of the crisis. The survey also showed that in France, 14 percent of respondents said their family relationships had become stronger because of the COVID-19 outbreak.
