Opinions on in-person and hybrid meetings among business travelers in the U.S. 2020
Recommendations for physical distancing due to the coronavirus pandemic has been put in place worldwide to control the spread of the virus. This resulted in drastic changes in the convention industry, as in-person meetings were often canceled or rescheduled. Despite this, according to a December 2020 survey, most convention travelers in the United States would prefer in-person meetings over hybrid events, which also rely on virtual solutions. Overall, if given a choice between these two formats, roughly 51.7 percent of respondents would prefer in-person meetings over hybrid ones.
