As per the Grid Connected Rooftop and Small Solar Power Plants Programme, over 1,800 megawatts capacity of solar rooftop systems have been installed across India as of December 2019. The installations of grid connected rooftop solar plants for residential, institutional and social sector buildings receive subsidy in certain states.
