Volume of seniors housing transactions in the U.S. 2008-2020
In the first half of 2020, senior housing transactions in the United States saw a decline from the previous year. Under the effect of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, senior housing transactions fell to 0.9 billion U.S. dollars, 1.7 billion U.S. dollars less than the same period in 2019. The percentage of Americans aged 65 years and older is set to rise until at least 2050, which suggests that this market will remain popular among commercial investors in the years to come.
