While the use of teleworking is gradually becoming more widespread, the source was interested in assessing the breakdown of employees using teleworking in France in 2017, according to the type of agreement concluded within the company. One quarter of the teleworkers worked in a company that had concluded a collective agreement regulating this type of activity.
An agreement can be either collective or individual. A collective agreement is concluded between the employer and a trade union organization and aims to establish rules for working conditions, employment or social guarantees for employees. Unlike a collective convention, a collective agreement regulates one or more very specific subjects (salaries, complementary health care) and not the working conditions as a whole. An individual agreement, is in fact a direct agreement, formal or not, between the employer and a single employee.
