Fnac Darty: repairs without parts by device in France 2019

In 2019, Fnac Darty's after-sales service department carried out a total of more than 620,000 repairs during the first two years of the warranty offered at the time of purchase. Among the 63 types of devices considered, printers (both inkjet and laser printers) accounted for a higher proportion of repairs without parts, with more than 80 percent of devices repaired without the need for additional parts.

This study relies on three sources of data. The first is based on responses from more than 65,000 Darty customers who made a purchase between July 21 and August 23, 2020. This survey helps to identify the context of product renewal and the future of those products that have been replaced. It also takes into account more than 620,000 interventions carried out by Darty's after-sales service in 2019 during the first two years of the warranty for the 63 types of devices analyzed by the 2020 barometer. Thanks to this data, it is possible to know the distribution of repair types (with or without parts) associated with each product category, but also the reliability and repairability of products and brands, resulting in a podium ranking of 73 brands."
