Italy imported over 135 million euros worth of regular bicycles in 2019, a growth of some 22 percent over the previous year. The value of exports of regular bicycles increased by almost 18 percent as well.
As opposed to regular bicycles, Italy imports more electric bicycles in value than it exports. Still, compared to the previous year, the value of e-bike exports declined by almost 11 percent in 2019.
