The state of Victoria was Australia's largest producer of milk, with the highest monthly volume compared to all other states. The country exports around 30 percent of its milk production, largely in the form of processed products such as cheese, butter, and milk powders. In financial year 2024, cheese was the leading manufactured dairy product by weight in the country, followed by skim milk powder.
