As travel digitization becomes an ever more important topic for the business travel industry, it may comes at no surprise that most companies used online travel expense reporting tools in 2020. According to a November 2020 survey, roughly 66.5 percent of respondents stated that their organizations used an online expense reporting platform that includes mobile solutions. In contrast, only eight percent of the surveyed travel buyers claimed that their companies relied on Excel spreadsheets or other offline processes to track their travel expenses.
