As a consequence of the Russian invasion in 2022, Ukraine got into a difficult financial situation. The European Union suggested supporting Ukraine with approximately 1.5 billion euros each month, however, the majority of Hungarians were against this idea. In the fall of 2022, only every fourth Hungarian would have agreed with this decision.
