During a survey conducted in Brazil in 2019, approximately 45 percent of smartphone users with internet access interviewed said they mainly used video-on-demand subscription platforms on this device. One year later, this figure had increased to 56 percent. With an estimated 19.9 million subscribers in 2020, Brazil had the largest amount of SVoD subscribers in Latin America.
