Share of net assets of regulated open-end funds worldwide 2010-2023, by fund type
Since 2010 equities have comprised the largest portion of the assets of mutual funds worldwide, with their share trending upwards over this period. Equites accounted for 41 percent of the total assets under management in 2010 - which equates to around 11.9 trillion U.S. dollars. By 2023, this had risen to just over 46 percent of total assets, or around 31.8 trillion U.S. dollars.
