Number of students in higher education in Egypt 2013-2022, by nationality

In the academic year 2021/2022, the number of foreign students in higher education in Egypt comprised only two percent of about 3.5 million students. In the period under review, foreigners enrolled in tertiary education in the country increased annually, except for a slight decline in 2017/2018, which could also be observed in the total number of students. Moreover, the number of enrolled Egyptian students followed the same pattern.
