In 2020, approximately 6.73 million presidential votes (51.3 percent of total votes cast) were accumulated by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) during the elections, while around 6.21 million votes (47.36 percent of all votes) were won by the National Democratic Congress (NDC). Moreover, there were around 13.12 million presidential votes cast during the 2020 elections. Overall in Ghana, democratic elections are organized every four years.
