Anxiety disorder cases in Spain 2011-2022
In 2022, the number of anxiety disorder cases registered within the Spanish National Health System amounted to more than 5.6 million, up from around 5.4 million cases reported a year earlier. This figure represented the highest number of anxiety disorder cases reported in Spain during the analyzed period, which has been increasing since 2011. This group of mental health disorders causes persistent feelings of worry, anxiety, and fear among patients, the most common being generalized anxiety disorder (GAD).
