In 2017, South Africa had the largest market share of water filtration products within Sub-Saharan Africa, corresponding to 43 percent of the total. Ethiopia and Nigeria followed, with 18 and 15 percent market share, respectively. Overall, the demand for water technologies in Sub-Saharan Africa has been increasing in the last years, following the rise of industrial production and engineering capacity.
