
Consumption of cheese per capita in the EU 2014-2023
The per capita consumption of cheese within the EU-27 steadily increased between 2014 to 2023. While in 2014 the figure was approximately 17.5 kilograms per capita, it was approximately 20.5 kilograms in 2022. The EU per capita consumption of cheese is by far one of the highest rates in the world, and is projected to remain so.
